In partnership with the inaugural Food & Wine Classic in Charleston, James Beard Award-winning Executive Chef of FIG Mike Lata hosts friends, Emmy- and four-time James Beard Award-winning TV personality and chef Andrew Zimmern, and Grammy-winning musician Quentin E. Baxter, for a very special evening celebrating sustainable seafood and live jazz.

Lata and Zimmern will collaborate on a dinner menu that pays homage to their shared commitment to sustainable seafood and to Zimmern’s PBS docuseries “Hope in the Water.” Five courses will be paired by FIG sommelier Morgan Calcote with bottlings from Sonoma Coast’s Marine Layer Wines. Along with dessert, Charleston’s legendary Spoleto Festival USA presents Quentin E. Baxter and Friends for a once-in-a-lifetime jazz set drawing on Gullah-Geechee music traditions and the sound of the Lowcountry.

This special occasion marks a return to the fires where both men have gathered, cooked, swapped stories, and bonded since they met more than a decade ago. Since then, both have written bestselling cookbooks, won James Beard Awards, and opened multiple restaurants. It’s been a while since these two have cooked together, but they are back at it for a once-in-a-lifetime dinner event, to stoke the fires, and share a meal with you!
