Q: What are the dates of the 2024 Food & Wine Classic in Charleston?

A: September 27th – 29th

Q: What events are included with a pass? 

A: Passes will provide access to the four Grand Tastings as well as five cooking demonstrations and wine seminars throughout the weekend. Passes allow you to pre-register for seminars, ensuring you have a seat reserved for the sessions you’re interested in attending.

Southern Living Lowcountry Tailgate 

– River Barns at the Dunlin, Kiawah River | 1030 Sound Drive, John’s Island, SC

  • Round trip transportation from The Charleston Museum to the Tailgate will be provided. Details to be shared the week of the event.

Q: Where do I pick up my pass?

A: Your passes will be available for pick up at the Charleston Gaillard Center, located at 95 Calhoun St., Charleston, SC.

Hours of Operation:
Thursday, September 26th – 8:00am – 6:00pm
Friday, September 27th – 8:00am – 6:00pm
Saturday, September 28th – 8:00am – 2:00pm

IMPORTANT: All guests must show a valid ID that matches the name on the pass being picked up, as well as the receipt received from Squad Up upon purchasing your pass.

Q: Can I bring a baby in a stroller or carrier? 

A: No one under 21 will be permitted in any Food & Wine Classic in Charleston events, including infants and small children in child carriers. This policy pertains to all events, including demonstrations, seminars and Grand Tastings.

Q: Are animals permitted?

A: Animals are not permitted in any Food & Wine Classic in Charleston events. Service/working animals are not considered pets and are exempt from this policy.

Q: Is smoking allowed?

A: No smoking, vaping or electronic cigarette usage is allowed at any Food & Wine Classic in Charleston events.

Q: What if there is inclement weather?

A: All events at the Food & Wine Classic in Charleston are rain or shine.

Q: What Food & Wine Classic in Charleston events can I attend if I have a food allergy?

A: The events at the Food & Wine Classic in Charleston feature a wide variety of foods and beverages from all categories. We cannot guarantee that participating chefs and restaurants will prepare dishes without common allergens, including nuts, dairy, gluten, etc. Additionally, not all events will have vegetarian options available. It’s important to always ask the chef, server or vendor whether or not allergens or ingredients are in the dishes you are going to consume.

Q: What measures are being taken to ensure the health & safety of attendees?

A: Food & Wine is committed to the health and safety of all of our guests. Attendees’ safety and comfort will remain our top priority as we plan and prepare for the 2024 Food & Wine Classic in Charleston. The festival regulations, policies and protocols are under constant review, fully subject to change and will be continually updated and revised in accordance with the most current public health information, direction and official guidelines.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?

A: Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the event will be assessed a cancellation fee. Cancellation of consumer passes will be assessed a $150.00 cancellation fee that will be applied to each pass purchased. Cancellations made within 60 days of the event will be completely non-refundable. All other events, including Southern Living Tailgate and Travel + Leisure Passport to Charleston Tours are non-refundable.
