Dine Around Charleston, curated by Food & Wine Editor-in-Chief Hunter Lewis, is a series of one-night-only dining experiences featuring renowned culinary talent, all in support of the local restaurant community. From intimate chef’s tables to lively collaborative dinners, each event offers a distinctive opportunity to connect with culinary talent, savor exclusive dishes created for that evening, and celebrate the creativity and diversity that make the city’s food culture thrive.

Taste of the Lowcountry with 82 Queen
Founded in 1982, 82 Queen has been showcasing Lowcountry cuisine for over 40 years in Charleston. During the Food and Wine Classic a select few guests can experience a meal curated by our Culinary team led by Steve Stone. Steve Stone has been with 82 Queen since 1989 and is a Charleston Native, joining him is our Executive Sous Chef Lamont Ferrebee. Wines are paired by owner Jonathan Kish to create a unique culinary experience that only the Lowcountry can offer.

This intimate evening offers guests the chance to engage with the chef, learn about his creative process, and savor dishes that push the boundaries of modern cuisine.

Cross Currents: Flavors of the Philippines & Caribbean
Join us for an exclusive one-night collaboration dinner featuring Chef Nikko Cagalanan, 2024 James Beard Award finalist, and Brooklyn’s Chef Picky (Osei Blackett), celebrated for his bold interpretations of Caribbean cuisine. This special event will present a thoughtfully crafted multi-course menu that explores the intersections of Filipino and Caribbean food traditions spotlighting shared ingredients, techniques, and cultural narratives. Guests will experience an evening that goes beyond the plate, where two acclaimed chefs use flavor as a medium to tell the stories of their heritage and the vibrant communities that shaped them.

Merci Wine Dinner
Charleston’s newest restaurant, Merci, hosts an intimate, prix fixe in their chic European-inspired bistro located in historic downtown Charleston. Enjoy a multi-course tasting menu prepared by Chef Michael Zentner and his team, alongside French wine pairings. More of a dinner party than a restaurant, Merci celebrates Old World techniques, Lowcountry ingredients and conviviality. Wine pairings and attentive service included. For one night only, the Palmira Team invites you to sit at our table and share in a story told through food. This private dining experience is inspired by the flavors of Puerto Rico, carried across generations, and reimagined with the artistry of craft barbecue.

Regiis Ova X Zero George Caviar Dinner
Join Chef Vinson Petrillo for an unforgettable multi-course tasting menu celebrating the decadent flavors of Regiis Ova caviar. The evening begins with elegant caviar-forward snacks, followed by four savory courses that showcase a variety of roe and caviar from Regiis Ova, the company founded by Chef Thomas Keller and Shaoching Bishop. Throughout the experience, Bishop will share insights into the artistry and sustainability behind Regiis Ova, whose mission is to bring world-class caviar to a broader audience through partnerships with the finest sturgeon farms in the world. An Evening with Cathy Corison
Experience an extraordinary evening with Cathy Corison, the first woman Winemaker-Proprietor in Napa Valley, whose hand-crafted Cabernet Sauvignons from the benchland vineyards of Rutherford and St. Helena are celebrated for their elegance, power, and longevity. The evening begins with a welcome cocktail hour on the piazza, where guests will enjoy snacks from Chef Vinson Petrillo while mingling with Cathy herself. Dinner will follow under the lights of Zero George’s bluestone courtyard—a communal, multicourse tasting menu thoughtfully paired with Corison’s acclaimed wines. Highlights include the rare 1996 vintage, single-vineyard selections, and Corazón white wines, creating a truly unforgettable food and wine experience.

Savor a one-of-a-kind Food & Wine Classic experience prepared by Chef Nick Dugan and the Sorelle culinary teams as we explore the vibrant coastal cuisine of Amalfi. Hosted in the intimate private lounge and dining room, the evening begins on the beautiful 3rd floor patio during golden hour where you will enjoy aperitivo and spritz’. You’ll move indoors to the vibrant and sophisticated lounge to continue your experience with a 5-course menu highlighting regional ingredients, techniques, and traditions that will transport you for the evening. Sommelier Angel Prado will also pair the courses with riserva wine selections for the ultimate Italian feast.
