Rhonda Mitchell

Rhonda Mitchell, founder of The Drizzled Pear Catering Company, was born and raised in Charleston, SC, where her love for food and people has always been deeply rooted. She attended the College of Charleston and The Citadel Graduate College, and today combines culinary creativity with strong business leadership to guide a team of passionate professionals who bring each event to life with care and precision.

Her culinary journey began with the heirloom recipes of her grandmother Emmaline and mother Ruby, dishes she now reimagines with a modern flair. After decades in the IT industry working in Customer Success Management, Software Implementations, and Consulting, Rhonda followed her calling in 2022 and transitioned into catering full time. Since then, she and her team have been recognized in The Post and Courier and Charleston Magazine, contributed food styling and photography to Taste the State: South Carolina’s Signature Foods and its Georgia edition, and had the honor of catering for various celebrities and dignitaries.

At The Drizzled Pear, Rhonda and her team are dedicated to seasonal, locally inspired Southern cuisine that honors Lowcountry traditions while creating fresh and memorable large scale dining experiences. From chef stations to elegant plated dinners, every menu is designed to celebrate both flavor and community.

Rhonda is married to Chef Kevin Mitchell, Culinary Historian, Author, and Educator, and together they share three wonderful children. She enjoys jazz and neo-soul, travel, and exploring Charleston’s food culture with family and friends.
